What a wonderful engrossing interesting podcast, my absolute favourite of 2019. Libraries are treasure troves and this podcast dispels the myth that libraries are simply an accumulation of books where speaking is forbidden. They are living history. One show, regarding regional accents talked of a ‘patty pan’ being a regional word for cake in Canada. However when I heard ‘patty pan’ I was immediately thinking of the miniature squash used in Asian cooking. I wonder is there any connection? More of the same please.
